The steak & cheese pies at starbucks are actually really nice! Profoundly nicer than I had been expecting admittly! Bit light on the amount of meat, but zero gristle, and it had a large nice pot of tomato sauce with it too. The coffee is as expected though ☹️
I only went due to getting a $20 gift card for them…
I have my first appointment with the general surgeon about my hernia tomorrow morning. I’m not looking forward to it and am starting to become quite anxious about it now! Hopefully the whole process will be quick and before I know it the surgery itself is done and behind me!!
I’ve been to my doctor and it is a hernia unfortuntly. I’ve been reffered to a general surgon to get it fixed, which won’t be a major surgery like my one last year at least!!
It looks like I have a hernia in the area I had my surgery last year. I have a doctors appointment for it on Monday which is the first I could with my main doctor. I’m not happy about this at all obviously but would be even more annoyed if I have to have another surgery to correct it!
I had to have a scan of my leg to check for blood clots and there weren’t any there anymore! I was on the blood thinner for thd clots for 6 months and they just needed to check that all of the clots had actually cleared up obviously.
I’m well enough now that I’m starting yo head back to work after my operation last month. Not quite full time as I’m still getting tired very easily and its a lot easier to work from home than it is to actually go into work.
I am going out of my mind with boriedem by now. For some reason being stuck at home this time has been worse than the covid lockdowns were! In particular once I’d hit the 2 to 3 week mark after my operation and was actually starting to feel just well enough physically that it became increasingly irrating to be stuck at home like that.
I’m at the awkard stage where I’m well enough to be seriously boried, but still not quite well enough physically to back to normal. I’m sick of watching streaming TV, sick of playing games, sick of being mostly stuck at home with very little to do.
Hopefully in two to three weeks everything will be a lot better and almost back to normal. One thing I am incredibly pleased about is that I had my surgery before the one off public holiday for Queen Elizabeth, as having my surgery put off at the last minute like what had happened to people who were supposed to be having their surgeries tomorrow! The added stress levels from that would have been horrific.
It’s almost 8am and I’m jusg waiting to hear when my surgery will be. Should be this morning sometime but it’s just a matter of waiting to hear exactly when!
I’m actually starting to get hungry now which is annoying and I’m proberly not going to be feeling well for lunch. So long as I’m not stuck waiting until this afternoon for my operation it’ll bd fine!
I’m in my room on the ward now and waiting to get a line put in. I’m on a blood thinner which needs to be swapped over for another one which can be neutralised before my surgery on Monday.
One good thing is that I’m winthin distance of 2 Pokestops on PokemonGo from my room so I can play more easily while I’m here! I do think I’m going to be boried while I wait for my surgery so that’s going to be nice.
No idea when my surgery is going to be other than on Monday. It does sound hopeful that I’ll be first or at worset second due to the blood thinner they will be giving me here.
